    Story

The Sonia Marsh Trust is a small non-profit making fund that aims to raise money to assist good causes – primarily those dealing with Lupus or Lupus-related medical issues. It was founded by Sonia Marsh’s family in memory of Sonia.

Our latest fund-raiser is in two parts. 1. Sonia's four grandchildren will be walking three miles; and 2. Sonia's husband and her two sons will be walking from Sonia's favourite restaurant in Covent Garden to her home. We are hoping that our friends and family will support our endeavours by donating to The Sonia Marsh Trust.

Sonia passed away on 22nd September 2013 after suffering a stroke – she had Hughes' Syndrome (Sticky Blood) and Lupus.

She was born on 5th October 1962, and was brought up in Downe, Kent. She spent much of her time as a child playing at her grandparents’ farm in Biggin Hill (the Trust’s logo represents this…).

Sonia was a generous person who supported many good causes - the annual get-togethers in her garden for friends and family raised in excess of £3,000 over the years that was donated to various local charities.

The Marsh family would like to thank everybody who has supported The Sonia Marsh Trust, we are overwhelmed by your generosity. Our next step will involve us having discussions with those in the Hughes' Syndrome, and possibly the Lupus world to decide where your money will be most effectively used - we will keep you all updated via The Sonia Marsh Trust Fund Facebook page. We are determined to do all we can to help in the fight against this wicked health condition.
