Story

On Friday 28th September 2018 a group of colleagues and I will be riding from the Hyperion offices in London down through the west coast of France to Barcelona. This is over 850 miles in 10 days (no rest day) and includes two days cycling in the Pyrenees mountains.

This amount of riding is far above my comfort zone, and will be a severe test of my mental and physical abilities to keep pushing the pedals day after day. It is a challenge I am really looking forward to and

The days in the saddle look like this:

Day 1 DUAL head office to Portsmouth Harbour
85 miles

Day 2 St Malo Harbour to Ancenis
119 miles

Day 3 Ancenis to Niort
98 miles

Day 4 Niort to Montedre
86 miles

Day 5 Montedre to Bazas
70 Miles

Day 6 Bazasto Lourdres
116 miles

Day 7 Lourdres to Loudenvielle
65 miles

Day 8 Loudenvielle to Sort
82 miles

Day 9 Sort to Cardona
80 miles

Day 10 Cardona to Barcelona
60 Miles

The ride is to raise money for Million for a Million (M4M), which is Hyperion’s exciting new global charitable initiative. The goal for this initiative is to raise US$1 million by completing one million kms through a range of individual charitable activities and initiatives. M4M will fund raise for four charities:

Black Dog Institute - Mental health awareness and support
Cancer Research UK - Research into all types of cancer
InteRed - Education and training for the poorest children in Mexico
Plastic Oceans - Alternatives to stop ocean pollution

Thank you for your support
