From the 29th of January 2017 until the 13th of February, myself and nineteen other students from the Colchester Institute will be travelling to North Goa, India. We will be working with a children's charity called the Novi Survat charity. When we work with this charity we will be providing an education to children who live in the slums of North Goa. We will be providing the children with an education by teaching them basic maths and English. Not only will we be providing an education, but we will also provide medical aid, nutritional meal, and maintaining their school building. If these children do not get an education they will be forced to beg, or marry at a young age by their family.
Not only will we be visiting a local school, we shall also visit an HIV orphanage for children who have been abandoned by their parents, and a special needs centre for children with Cerebal Pulsy. The aim of this visit is to make life happier for those children. We do this by giving those children toys, cloths, and any other items that will make life happier for those children.
The overall aim of this trip is to make the lives of the children in North Goa happier and to give them opportunities in life that they may not have had before. We also hope that when the children graduate from school, they will be able to get a well paid job in order to help their family out of poverty.
Thank you for reading this message about the Novi Survat chairity. Any donations will be hugely appreciated and will go straight to the charity. Thank you.
