Story
In February 2019, I shall be travelling to Nakuru, Kenya with a group of other volunteers to help those living in poverty. Whilst in the town, the group of volunteers will split into two groups. One group will visit Ungana Academy and the other will help at Jubilee Academy. Both groups will help to teach students (aged roughly 4-17) as well as building and rebuilding things such as classrooms. We shall be in the town for nearly two weeks and will spend half of the time in the schools. On some of the other days, we will carry out home visits to take basic supplies to the poorest of the poor.
The cost of the trip is £1830 for each person and we aim to fundraise most of this through donations but also by running events such as cake bakes. Any contributions will be gratefully received and will be going to a truly incredible cause.
