This page is being set up in honour of my mum, the most loving, caring mother a son could wish for, I am about to lose this beautiful lady. Here's is our story....
Edna Pomeroy is 58yo, she has achieved so much in these years, I am so proud! Edna joined the RAF age 19, 1982 for over 4 years, she has definitely lived life in the fast lane with her love for motorbikes and everything that goes vrooom! 😆 Edna became a mother to me, the only child she has in 1991 (I must have been enough 🙈😁) but I know she would have loved to have more! I can honestly say she has always worked hard to bring me up, this didn't stop her doing the things she loved. I'm so lucky to have these memories, I will give you all these stories later in comments (we all need that giggle) 😉. 2010 this raring to go lady mastered a degree! Fine example of how much she just doesn't give up, if she can't do it now she will do it later! This is where the story turns 😔 MY MUM! My rock is starting to feel ill she is in pain, we had enjoyed a lady's night organised by herself and Stephen her husband, it will always stick with us because it was the last event we attended with mum being her healthy, happy self! scans and tests showed the dreaded cancer! I was at home, it was late, watching t.v and then THE CALL! Mum has cancer and a rare one at that! I cried all night!
She was diagnosed with Peritoneal Cancer in 2014, there was chemo but no cure. Every year she has been to and fro for chemo, extending her fight until now. Now after all the help and support from Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, we now only have WEEKS to spend with her, she is a huge part of all the family's life. As part of her final wishes she would like again to raise as much money as possible for the fabulous staff at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd who could use some TLC, particularly :- Heulwen Ward and Enfys Ward, we appreciate times are difficult but any small amount to contribute will be tremendous in fulfilling Edna wish!
