Story

We are raising £4,000 towards independent treatments of cancer for worthwhile local causes, by using the local music community of North Hampshire and their collective talents and influence within the community.

At the start of this year, Fatma McCauleys breast cancer spread aggressively to her liver, leaving her with a devastating prognosis. Fatma has always been the heart of her family and the full-time carer for her daughter Leyla — a bright, wheelchair-bound, non-verbal young woman who needs 24/7 care. When Fatma became too unwell to care for her, Leyla had to be moved into a care home. This broke Fatma’s heart.

After several treatments failed, the NHS told Fatma there was nothing more they could do and referred her to hospice care. But Fatma and her sister Esin refused to give up. Esin spent sleepless nights researching and found hope in treatments abroad — TACE in Germany (€3,900 per cycle) and Histotripsy in the US ($50,000).

A Go Fund Me page was set up raising £20,000 from independent donations that has been used effectively with proven results as follows:-

Fatma quickly travelled to Frankfurt for urgent TACE treatment. After four cycles, she has shown an amazing response — scans reveal her tumours have shrunk significantly. We have even met people who went into complete remission with this treatment. This gives Fatma and all of us hope.

Now Fatma needs help to continue this life-saving treatment. Every cycle matters, every day counts. With your support, Fatma can keep fighting — for her life, for more precious time with Leyla, and for the chance at complete remission.

Please help us give Fatma the future she deserves. Any donation, no matter how small, brings her closer to more treatment, more time, and more hope
