Story
My son Denny was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in February and with the help from the IBD team at Addenbrookes and Colchester Hospitals he has been on the mend ever since. Of particular help and significance to us was a journal that is given to all newly diagnosed children to help them and their families navigate their way through a very tough period in their lives and answer many questions they will inevitably have.
Unfortunately the funding for this lifeline of a journal is coming to an end so Denny and I would like to raise some funds to purchase these journals for the IBD team and therefore help many others in the same situation.
1 in 123 people are living with an IBD so as keen cyclists we are determined to ride 123miles across 5 days in the last week of August and have a target of raising £1230. This money would fund the journals - "Me (and IBD)" - for the next 3 years.
Many thanks for your donations.
We will see you on the road
