Story

James is a wonderful friend and neighbour and artist. You can check out his amazing artworks and illustrations here:

Last year James was struck down with a tumour in the brain. He fought back and got the all clear earlier this year, after some serious emergency surgery and radio and chemo therapy. He was recovering and looking forward to his future, only to be told last week that the cancer had resurfaced and the condition is now incurable.

James and his super-wife Sally, and super-son Tom, have had a tough time over the couple of years, dealing with ill elderly relatives, and then the news of James' cancer. This latest news is a blow to them.

Just before this latest news of the return of the cancer, James and Sally came by for a cup of tea. We sat outside enjoying a lovely Welsh sunny afternoon, and while we chatted James and Sally mentioned their dream, after James' full recovery, of visiting Japan and York in the future.

It is impossible to tell at this stage whether Japan will be possible but whatever the destination, I am hoping to raise money in order to let James and Sally get away. To wherever they may be able to go, so that they can take the holiday of a lifetime before James becomes too ill to travel.

Please help me to help James and Sally so that they know just how much he means to so many, and how much we all appreciate what a tough time they are going through.

You can donate anonymously and every little bit helps.

Thank you!
