Losing a loved one can be the most painful experience anyone can go through in their lifetime. Preparing for the loss of a loved one through illness or old age is something that we often don’t think about but know one day, we will need to put some money aside to cover the increasing costs of laying a loved one to rest.

At 28, Katie did not expect to have to be finding the money to say her goodbyes to her beloved Husband, James (Jimmy) 31, who tragically and unexpectedly lost a battle no one knew he was fighting on Monday 20 August.

Katie and Jimmy have been by each other’s sides for the past 10-years. They met whilst working at Don’t Tell Titus in Saltaire and have been inseparable ever since. Katie and Jimmy were the ultimate “couple goals”, married in 2015, they loved holidays, particularly Disney World Florida which they visited as much as they could, saving each year to go to their happy place, their home.

They loved each other dearly and no one could have foreseen the tragic events of this week.

I am launching this funding page for friends and family of Jimmy to help Katie and her family cover the costs of James’ funeral. If you feel you can help in anyway towards covering the expenses of putting our beloved Jimmy to rest, we would be extremely grateful.

All monies raised will go to paying for funeral expenses, and anything remaining will be donated to a charity of Katie’s choice.

If only James knew how much he was loved.
