Story

Since the start of COVID James has been unable to attend the day respite centre that he usually goes to, he has been unable to connect with his friends and has been stuck at home, much like the rest of the world. So to get him out and about in a safe way we have been fortunate enough to be able to borrow a special bike and have been cycling him as far as we can. This has been a lot of fun and an awful lot of hard work. We would like to buy James his very own bike but one that has electric assistance so we can go further and have even more fun out and about letting James see the world and have even more adventures and exciting experiences.

James has Angelmans syndrome so he isn't able to cycle a bike by himself and this is where the Duet Wheelchair Bike comes in, he absolutely loves going out on the bike but lives on a hill and our legs are getting very tired.

To raise the funds we need to buy the bike we are planning a very exciting cycling adventure with James. We plan to leave James' home in Kirkhill and cycle through Beauly to Muir of Ord for coffee and cake, as we often do, and then on to Redcastle, over Kessock Bridge and through Inverness passing through Clachnaharry, Bunchrew and Inchmore and one last hill back home to Kirkhill. This will be our biggest route with James yet.
