In March 2018 I went with a fellow friend & crew member out to Crew the NGO Vessel Mo Chara with Refugee Rescue. I wasn't sure what to expect with the media being very quiet on the crisis in the region.

Just seeing & assisting where possible on & off the boat made it clear for me that the amount of people still crossing the 6 miles from Turkey over to Lesvos wasn't slowing down. I saw babies as young as 8-9 months & having to put a child I had never met into my arms so they reach a place of safety has left an ever lasting memory. Speaking to Adults they explained in the broken English, the ordeals they have been through.

I am raising the funds to go back out to Lesvos for another period of time at the beginning of June.
