Story

We are raising money to build a memorial bench in our local area - for our friend who sadly passed away recently. It will be built in the area in which he used to go to clear his head as he struggled with mental health throughout his life. Any excess donations will be given to a charity of the family's choice.

To raise money myself and Logan will be taking part in a series of physical challenges for a few reasons. Firstly, as he struggled with mental health, physical activity is proven to help boost endorphins and subsequently can help mental state. Secondly, we feel like pushing ourselves physically to dedicate some pain to honour Jamie and the mental pain/struggles he had to endure.

Jamie was a kind and caring person who never put himself before anyone, and always made time to speak to everyone and help with anything that they needed. Even through his battle, he remained kind and gererous to everyone around him.

It was a pleasure and honour to know Jamie and to call him a friend, and will forever remember him. It is a true loss for eveyone in his life, and this is for everyone in his life and for everyone that didn't get to meet such a great and selfless young man.

Some of the challenges we have planned consist of the Murph Challenge, cycling around the Isle of Arran in one trip, and pushing ourselves on exercises to our limits daily. We both work in hospitality and have a couple of jobs and so we will do our best to complete a challenge every day of the month.

For anyone planning on donating please feel free to leave a comment if you have any ideas for challenges and we will try and do as many of them as possible. Also anyone that feels like they would like to get involved on any challenges please feel free to contact myself or Logan to join in.

Thank you.
