I've raised £3195 to help fund a new braille machine for Jamie

This is Jamie, he is 7 years old and he has just started year 3.
Jamie was born with a condition called Optic Nerve Hypoplasia which means he is severally visually impaired/blind. For those who know Jamie you know that having a disability has never stopped him. Jamie is currently learning to play the keyboard & swim and is working at the same level as others his age.
He can now read & write braille using a Mountbatten Brailler. On a Friday after school we have to box the braille machine up and carry it to the car. The braille machine uses paper which needs changed every time he gets to the end of an A4 piece of paper. At the moment this means Jamie can't do any homework in the school week and all homework is left until the weekend - when we want to be outside!
We are trying to raise funds to buy Jamie the new Braillenote Touch. A lightweight, silent device that will last him right through University. The Braillenote Touch would fit in Jamie's school bag so he can write & complete his homework wherever he is. It connects to an ipad meaning that all of his work is stored electronically and converts braille into writing so teachers can give instant feedback. I have attached a link below of the Braillenote Touch . Braillenote Touch
