Story
We are Lucy and Jamie Philip, 16-year-old twins from the north of Scotland. We're joining teams from our school to take part in separate international projects this summer. To do this we need to raise our own finance, and we'd be so grateful if you would consider helping us.
Lucy will be helping complete essential maintenance works at Kirongoi Primary School, near Banja in rural western Kenya. The team's work includes erecting a latrine for the female students, installing doors and windows to many of the classrooms, and plastering and painting a new classroom, as well as helping teach pupils. A vast number of local families rely on the school.
Jamie is travelling to Cisnadiora in Romania to work with Little John's House, which provides a summer school for underprivileged, special needs and disabled children, both from state run orphanages and from individual families. These weeks may be the only time children leave the orphanages, and for individual families it is often the only break for parents or carers. The team's project will also involve essential maintenance work on the House.
We'd like to thank you for any help you feel able to give!
