Story
I am currently fundraising to travel alongside 11 students from St Ambrose College to Sierra Leone in February 2018. We've been given the opportunity to live and work alongside locals, specifically pupils from our sister school, St Ambrose Academy.
St Ambrose College, my 6th form, currently sponsor 10 young girls who were tragically orphaned during the Ebola crisis. Not only will we have the opportunity to meet these amazing people, we are also aiming to assist the building of a well for the school.
St Ambrose Acadmey is currently made up of 300 children who are dependent on the support from our college's previous and future fundraising efforts, therefore to see our efforts in first hand would be an amazing experience. By visiting Sierra Leone, we will be able to experience the genuine realities of living in a third world country following the Ebola crisis.
This will be the first trip St Ambrose College has ventured to take since the outbreak of Ebola, and we have committed to fund the trip by undertaking countless fundraising activities over the coming summer months. I will be posting any significant developments regarding the trip on this page, alongside upcoming fundraising events.
I am currently looking at the possibility of completing a sponsored skydive to assist my fundraising efforts, in which any support would be greatly appreciated.
