Story

Inspired by the 40th anniversary of the Elizabeth Foundation (and having turned 40 myself!), I will be walking the length of Bahrain 🇧🇭 (40 miles) in an attempt to raise awareness and hopefully some funds for some incredible deaf children’s charities.

Our family will be forever indebted to two very special charitable organisations for the education and support that they provided for our youngest son, Henry, at such an important time in his life.

They were pillars of strength to the whole family, guiding us every step of the way through diagnosis, testing, hearing aids, sign language courses, cochlear implant surgery, speech therapy, radio aids, acoustics; always showing positivity and care.

It is impossible to express the impact that they had in shaping Henry into the proud and confident boy he is today.

Henry’s progress continues to amaze and thrill us every day and I am keen to raise awareness for the tremendous work these charities do, and hopefully raise funds to enable them to continue enhancing the lives of other deaf children.

I would be very grateful if you would take a look at their amazing work by clicking on their links below, and if you are able to sponsor me, any amount of money would be hugely appreciated.

Having been in Bahrain for four years now, I will also be donating some of the money raised to provide sensory equipment for schools here.

If you could please be kind enough to retweet/like/share to give us the best chance of reaching our goal.

Thank you so much!
