Please click on the YouTube video below and forward to 6 minutes 20 seconds to see the severity of the tackle

Dear Football / Sports community

Jamie Underdown is a 20yr old semi pro player who had been predicted to go even higher in the game.

However, due to an horrendously reckless illegal tackle whilst playing the game he loves he has sustained the following injuries.

• The anterior cruciate ligament has been completely severed

• The lateral cruciate ligament has been completely severed

• The posterior cruciate ligament has been badly ruptured

• The knee cap has been dislocated

The surgeon has said Jamie will require a minimum of 18 months intense medical care and gruelling physiotherapy and has also said that if he ever plays football again he can consider that to be a bonus.

Jamie faces numerous operations just to be able to be walking properly again, how devastating for a talented young man.

This page is being set up to help Jamie through the tough times that lay ahead of him on his road to some kind of recovery.

Jamie works part time on a zero hours contract so if we can raise some money for an electric wheelchair and multiple aids to help him take a little of the physical, mental and financial pressure off for him that would be a tremendous lift for him.

Please just remember this could be your child, sibling, partner that this has happened to.

Please donate what you can to help a young man on his tough road back.

Many thanks and yours in sport Jamies family and friends x
