    Story

Jane was born Philippa Jane Smith Brindle on 19th May, 1961, near Preston. Loving, loyal daughter of James and Chris, older sister to Nick and Clare, sister-in-law to Aileen, aunt to Robbie, Scottie and James and best friend and business partner to Andrew Parkinson. Everyone will remember Jane as remarkable person. Her energy, ability and vibrancy were unparalleled. She was exceptionally well regarded in her field of business and has been an inspiration to many. None of us can quite believe that she has been taken from us so suddenly. We feel that Jane's legacy should not just be the considerable love and respect that she has amassed and the memories we have of her. To this end we will establish a trust in her name in order to fund future charitable projects in order that others can benefit from Jane's motivational and entrepreneurial spirit.

Through JustGiving and other gifts we have now raised over £10,000 for the Princes Trust Women Supporting programme. We can see what a real difference this is making to young people's lives. A philanthropic organisation is meeting donations to the Trust which means the contribution in Jane's name will be more than £20,000 and we hope to increase this to a much greater amount by the end of the year. Many thanks to everyone who has contributed. Nick

So far we have raised a total of £9300. The funds raised in memory of Jane will help to change young women’s lives at The Prince’s Trust through the 'Women Supporting Women' programme. The Trust have made Jane a posthumous Ambassador of Women Supporting Women. This means she is contributing to the next generation of young women, who might have had a difficult start in life, the opportunity to reach their true potential. Nick and Aileen

I was lucky enough to enjoy her warmth, humour and wonderful company. I wish I had spent more time with Jane. With much love to her family left bereft. X
