I'm aiming to raise at least £650 to help fund The Herald Players, a registered charity promoting general education and public appreciation of the arts through drama. We have been performing in the community for more than 60 years - providing fulfilling creative experiences for a wide range of people. Like all community activities we are in need of funds to help continue our work. I want to give something back for everything the group has given me, so on 12 September I shall be doing a 'Bardathon' an 8-hour (with short breaks) reading of several of Shakespeare's plays in Guildford High Street - in particular selecting those on which I worked with my very dear late friend Keith McDonald, whom I miss so much. How fortunate I was to play Malvolio (pictured) under his direction in his all -female 'Twelfth Night' production.
