Hello and thank you for looking at my page.

I am studying Forensic Psychology at the moment and I am looking to make a difference in this field. Once I finish my degree in 2020, the only Forensic Psychology Masters I can attend which is accredited and funded in Scotland is in Glasgow which would mean giving up my job, potentially moving city and all for a course which is broad and not specific to the area I want to do research in.

The University of Huddersfield has a Masters specifically in Investigative Psychology which I would have to pay upwards of £6500 (current cost, i'd imagine this would increase by 2020). However I would not have to give up my job or move as whilst it's full time I would only have to attend the University for 1 week, 3 times in the year. The rest of the time it's online. Not only that, the Masters is specifically focused on eye witness reliability, criminal profiling, the jury process.. relevant to the area I want to do research in. Why? Because as a juror I realised that the process is so significantly affected by group dynamics/psychology that I wondered whether several groups of jurors would all come to the same conclusion. The jury system is a long standing traditional system which thanks to cases of wrongly convicted accused has been shown to be imperfect and yet has never been revised.

I would really appreciate funding so I can pursue potentially life changing work to research this area which supports potential change in the judicial system.
