Every year I try and raise money for Cancer research by doing some runs and walks. Most of you know the reason behind this. My sisters and I lost our mother when I was 5 to cervical cancer,, she was only 30 years old and after being brought up at the best granny in the world she also died of cancer when I was 23. There are also other members of the family we lost or had to have treatment.
So when I heard the story of Caroline Gammand I had to try help. Her story is too close to my mothers. She is a young mother of two little ones who needs life extending drugs after being diagnosed with breast cancer and because of where we live she is unable to get this on the NHS.
I have no memory of my mother and have no photos with her. If I can help this mother of two young children to build memories I will try my hardest.
So this year I am running the Swansea and Cardiff half marathon and Race for Life 5 and 10 K, a 30 mile walk from Cardiff to Kenfighill rugby club and Swansea bay 10k, The Richard Burton 10k and hopefully walking up Snowden please donate what you can.
Speaking from experience these children need to have as much time as possible with their mum.
