Hi, I have opened this funding page because I am in a bit of a dilemma. My mother is in a care home, and I live in her house. The house could be in need of damp proofing, but before this can take place, I will have to get a surveyor's report. This report costs £1000 - £1500 + VAT = £1800. I do not have the money at the moment to pay for this, and my mother's solicitors say that if I cannot pay for the surveyor's report/damp proofing, I will have to sell the house.

I love my house, and have an emotional attachment to it. It's a beautiful victorian house, and I have lived there virtually all my life. My beloved family cat is buried in the back garden. It means a lot to me, and I don't want to sell, and want to live there as long as I can. So I'm just asking please can you help me raise the amount of money needed for the surveyor't report. I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.
