We are two friends that noticed a spiralling problem of homlessness in Southend and decided that we’d like to help do something about it. Our recent backpack appeal raised £230 and funded backpacks filled with essentials, new sleeping bags and a hot meal for 20 people who are homeless and made a big difference to their day having someone to talk to. We would like to continue helping and supporting in any way we can and will be raising money as an ongoing thing to allow us to do this. We are also collecting donations of essentials that can be given out to help improve the quality of their daily lives.
