I've raised £750 to Trafford Ward, North Cambs Hospital

On 5th December 2017, we sadly lost a woman so special to us, to what turned out to be a short battle with Cancer. A dear Wife, Mum, Nan and Great Nan. We all miss her greatly.
Nan’s last couple of weeks were spent in Trafford Ward, North Cambs Hospital. Although this was a rehabilitation ward, there were 3 beds specifically for palliative care.
The staff were beyond fantastic. As a family we couldn’t have thanks all the staff enough, from the Doctors, Nurses, Housekeepers and Receptionists. They became an extended family. They all took the time to check on Nan, sit and talk to her. We were allowed to visit whenever we wanted, we’re offered food, drinks, beds and hugs! They even called Grandad a couple of days after Nan passed away, to check he was doing OK.
I mean that’s got to be going above and beyond, right?
In conversation with a Nurse, it was mentioned that although there were 3 rooms for palliative care, they only had 2 reclining chairs for family and relatives.
As a family, as a thank you, we’d like to try and raise the ward enough money to buy a third reclining chair.
So...... On 24th March we are going to take part in the Peterborough Inflatable 5k Obstacle Course.
Anyone who knows us, knows we’re not the fittest bunch.....but hopefully we can raise enough money and make our Nan proud!
Any sponsorship will be gratefully received! We will let you know the finished total, we are hoping to present the hospital with a BIG cheque!
Oh.......and we promise to update you with the embarrassing photo’s once we’ve finished!!
