Story

We are a small group of unfunded volunteers who go under the name Waltham Forest For Cats – WF4C #prideofwf2023 who came together to help out with the current kitten & cat crisis within our borough. You can find us on Facebook. We help with finding lost/missing cats, getting strays off the street, neutered, microchipped and re-homed and with neutering & feeding feral colonies. We also have a small, but wonderful group of foster carers who take in the strays or unwanted kittens & cats on our behalf until a forever home can be found for them. Sadly, one of the foster kittens that came into our care last week is showing signs of being ill, possibly quite seriously due to her being taken away from her mum by the irresponsible owners/backyard breeders when she still should have been getting milk from her Mumma while being weaned and she was then given away or sold to people who also didn’t know how to take care of this young baby and were feeding her on adult cat and human food when she was still only about 4 weeks old. She is now approximately 5-6 weeks old and in the care of one of our amazing foster family’s who have given her the name Tippi. Sadly, her stomach and her whole internal system is not coping well due to this bad start in life. She has already had to go to the vets once this week for assessment and medications, but they are not working and she is not getting any better, so she urgently needs to be seen by the vet once again and have a lot more scans and bloods and more medications or possible treatments or procedures. As already mentioned, we are completely unfunded so we are appealing to anyone that would like to help financially towards her vet fees and is in a position to make even the smallest of donations, it will be very much appreciated and will go straight to the vet costs for this poor baby. Let’s get Tippi better and give this little girl the fighting chance she deserves after having such a bad start in life. Thank you in advance for any and all donations, no matter how big or small, they will all make a huge difference. Any excess funds (if any) from donations will go towards any future vet fees that arise for any of our current or future foster kittens & cats.
