Story

I was diagnosed with breast cancer August 2016. The support and care I have received from Burton Breast Clinic has been 1st class. If I hadn't had a mammogram and early medical intervention my story may have been different.

My Consultant Mr Colin Rogers is trying to raise funds for a new Faxitron.

The Faxitron BioVision machine is a portable x-ray system used to image tissue specimens from biopsies taken from women with suspected breast cancer. A specimen from a biopsy is placed inside the machine. With a push of a button, the image pops up almost instantaneously, and can show different variations of the specimen. Radiologists and surgeons can look at the image immediately after the biopsy. There have been concern's that the waiting for results time frames are too long. My consultant and his team are working constantly to reduce those times. Also the Faxitron reduces the time women are under general anaesthesia, thus reducing risk of further complications.

Please help me to raise funds for this vital equipment. I want to give something back to the Breast Clinic that has saved my life, helped me move forward and are there no matter how small my concern.
