We are trying to organise a Christmas day dinner for the homeless. We are taking alcohol off of the menu and are offering tea coffee non alcoholic mulled wine along with a full traditional Christmas dinner. We would like to be able to give gifts of essential parcels and hats, gloves and scarves. We would like to provide refillable water bottles, everyday essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, ladies sanitary products. Pocket tissues and wet wipes. We are also wanting donated dog food. We are collecting any unwanted shoes,coats,clothes and sleeping bags for them to be able to help themselves to whatever they may need on the day. We have staff giving their Christmas day for free, we have children wanting to spend their Christmas day helping at this event. We would like any local businesses to get behind us and donate either food products or any of the items we have listed. We want to make this Christmas really special and give our homeless community a day that offers warmth,thought,generosity and to have a few hours of being taken care of which without our community getting behind us and donating as much as they can spare would not be possible. We have knitters making warm hats, and we have people offering their services. This is a cause that everyone can get involved in as no one deserves to be alone and without a meal on Christmas day.
