Story

In 2016 JAPES launched at the Great Scottish Run to allow differently-abled individuals to experience participation in organised running events. JAPES has made a difference to the lives of more than a dozen Pilots of all ages, and their families & carers, by sharing the experience of organised running events with around a hundred runners and crew to date.

In 2018, JAPES plans to raise enough money to take possession of a brand new Joëlette Twin. Our current one-wheeled model has been our vehicle for participation in a number of races from 5K through to the Marathon 26.2 miles. We have been to the top of Ben Lomond and are already planning more runs and treks.

The two-wheeled Joëlette Twin model will be a more comfortable experience for our Pilots, since it offers greater stability and will remove the need for a manual lift: stability and dignity.

Please help us by contributing whatever you can - every little helps.
