Some of you might be aware that our journey to becoming parents started 12 years ago. Its been an extremely tough journey namely trying to raise 10.5k each time we needed to try again.. Its a
journey that will stay with us forever. Along the way we lost friends, missed out on being invited to events because we were not parents, felt socially awkward, put a brave face on when others shared their good news and IVF became our only focus. We put off buying a new house because we wanted all our spare money to go towards IVF socially friends told us we had fallen off the radar and hadn't progressed. that came as another blow but we took all of that and it gave us motivation. So here we are 5 months pregnant with our first baby and we are thrilled.
I'm being asked if im having a baby shower and I keep saying no so I want to take a minute to explain why. The mention of a baby shower over the past 12 years has sent me into a sad panic because their was nothing more I wanted than a baby. Going shopping for baby clothes was really tough when you believe you wont ever get a chance to shop for your own baby. Also attending a baby shower and seeing the joy of the mum to be was also very difficult knowing id never get to have that experience. I was at a restaurant once and a baby shower was taking place and I had to leave before I cried the place down. So I don't want anybody feeling a tiny bit of how I felt.

So they'll be no baby shower for our little bundle, instead I would really like someone else to find the light at the end of the IVF tunnel by way of donating anything that you can towards an IVF cycle for someone I know instead. Being a mum is every womens right and I would love someone else to experience this like I am now. We don't need a lot for our baby it will have all the love in the world so please donate what you can to helping someone else along there journey.
