Weʼve raised £720 to support Evie Austin who is suffering from a neurological pain condition called CRPS and to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital
- Funded on Monday, 5th June 2017
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our wonderful and beautiful niece, Evie has been diagnosed with a devastating condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), which essentially means that she is in pesistant, severe and debilitating pain, unable to walk and confined to the four walls of her home the majority of the time.
Evie who is 12 years old, was on a family holiday in Cornwall last August when she was stung by a Weever fish. This trauma to her foot has led to a devastating neuropathic pain condition that is life changing for Evie and her family.
Through the generosity of Evie’s close family and friends, enough money has already been raised for a wheelchair to improve Evie’s mobility but there are other essentials pieces of kit that she will require in order for her to maintain as much independence as possible.
Jason and Tom are taking up the challenge of the Coast to Coast “Way of the Roses” bike ride in July 2017 to raise money for Evie’s Cause and the Sheffield Children’s Hospital who have been fantastic in their ongoing care and support for Evie.
*Anyone wishing to join Jason & Tom for all or part of their challenge please get in touch.

Just seen a TV programme about Evie and my wife and I were moved by the brave way she is approaching her reaction to the fish sting. What a lovely confident young lady who deserves to get better.
