$8,685raised of $50,000 target by 44 supporters

Weʼve raised $8,685 to help Mark Lonski '93 and his wife Julie, help rebuild their lives along with their young son, Cruz. Irma destroyed their home in St. John

Funded on Saturday, 14th October 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Mark and Julie left NYC after 9/11 to start a new life in paradise, on the island of St John. I visited them many years ago, and it truly was paradise. They started a business (Property King) putting Mark's Cornell-honed botany skills to work, while Julie's business acumen ran the office. Now their home is destroyed. Let's do what we can to help our Brother get back on his feet.

Pi men I spoke with Lonski this morning. 90% of the structures on St John were damaged or destroyed. His landscaping business is imperiled because of this. The Lonskis are looking for a home to live in while they rebuild. Their house disintegrated while they were taking refuge inside of it. There is no mail service and no banking services. Electricity will be out for 6 to 8 months. Please give. From $5 to $500 every bit helps. Just seeing your name on the donor page will help them smile. Jason

Jason, I know what it meant to us when our Sigma Pi brothers stepped forward to support the Owego community when Tropical Storm Lee left the entire village under water in 2011. Every day will be bett
