Story
TWO TEAMS. TWO CHALLENGES. ONE GOAL — HELP SEKA ENGLAND REACH THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!
On 19th September 2026, the SEKA England Karate Squad is swapping the dojo for the great outdoors — and pushing ourselves to the limit to help our athletes represent England on the European stage.
Our Midlands and North East dojos will be taking on two very different endurance challenges on the same day, united by one goal: raising vital funds for the SEKA England Karate Squad.
THE MIDLANDS CHALLENGE
Our Midlands team will tackle Rivington Pike in Horwich — THREE times!
They'll climb up and back down three times, completing approximately 1,000 metres of ascent — roughly equivalent to climbing the height of Scafell Pike.
THE NORTH EAST CHALLENGE
Meanwhile, our North East team will take on 16 miles along the incredible Hadrian's Wall, testing their endurance, determination and teamwork across one of Britain's most iconic landscapes.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
Because representing England doesn't just take talent.
It takes years of training. Discipline. Sacrifice. Commitment.
And unfortunately, it also costs money.
Our athletes are working incredibly hard for the opportunity to compete at the European Karate Championships, but international competition brings significant costs including travel, accommodation, equipment and training camps.
That's where YOU can make a difference.
Every donation — whether it's £5, £10, £20 or more — genuinely helps our athletes get closer to stepping onto those European mats wearing the England badge.
You're not simply sponsoring a walk or a climb.
You're helping an athlete chase a dream.
