I've raised £500 to help to continue to fund Fen Bank Greyhound Sanctuary.

On Sunday the 29th July 2018, I will be riding the Prudential Ride London 100 mile cycle ride in aid of this charity. I'd love to raise as much as possible for this worthwhile charity that's close to my heart as we are a rescue dog family.
Fen Bank Greyhound Sanctuary is a registered charity dedicated to the protection and re-homing of ex-racing Greyhounds. The Sanctuary, which obtained independent registered charity status in 1998, provides comfortable spacious accommodation for some 30 greyhounds of all ages who have come from all over the United Kingdom. They take in dogs from many sources – trainers, owners, the police, the RSPCA and other welfare groups. Some are cruelty cases, including dogs with physical and emotional scars, dangerously underweight dogs, and dogs seriously ill from neglect.
Each pair of greyhounds has a warm kennel, their own run, and in addition there are three large galloping paddocks for free exercise, one of which is covered in several inches of sand. All dogs are walked almost every day and as far as possible they are treated like the pets they are destined to become.
They provide fully-supported homing and follow-up programmes for every greyhound, including vetting procedures and a help line. All their dogs are neutered, inoculated, wormed, health checked and micro-chipped before being placed in a new home. Although they do their best to ensure that their greyhound adoptions go smoothly for both new owner and dog, there are occasions when a homing fails, and they then insist that dogs MUST come back to Fen Bank. A Fen Bank dog is a dog for life.
Sometimes long term neglect and poor kennelling is only too evident in dogs coming into Fen Bank.
Their vet bills are routinely well over £1,000 a month and they urgently need funds to keep on repairing the damage others have done to their dogs. Fen Bank Greyhound Sanctuary is a 100% charitable organisation. They rely on donations from visitors, friends and the general public.
Thanks!
