Story
This October I am going to attempt to walk from Nottingham to Sheffield, approximately 40 miles of continuous walking, to raise funds for Prema Vasam children's home, Chennai, India.
Prema Vasam is a children's home for all faiths, castes and creeds - a place where children of all abilities are cared for without prejudice.
Located in Chennai, India, Prema Vasam provides a loving, safe home for children much less fortunate than our own; offering round-the-clock care and support for scores of severely disabled children, and the funding of a real education for those able to go to school.
Prema Vasam is absolutely reliant on donations and sponsorships to keep afloat - without it many children could simply not afford to go to school, and many orphans and the disabled would be at serious risk of homelessness, a potentially grave predicament considering the severity of many of the residents' circumstances.
Any donations I am fortunate to recieve will be sent directly to Selvin and Mumtaj at Prema Vasam, towards ongoing school term and book fees, or to spend as they see fit if other priorities arise. Every penny counts, no gift is a gift too small, thank you.
