Story
Jason a loving Husband, Son, Brother, Dad, Step-Dad, Grandad, Uncle and Cousin who was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Brain Tumour in November 2024. The NHS standard care consists of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy but there is no cure for this type of aggressive brain cancer.
One treatment called DcVax-L which is an immunotherapy vaccine is currently being considered by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for use on the NHS. Sadly this treatment is not available yet but can be obtained privately at a huge financial cost. People who have paid for this privately quote a personal cost of around £86,500. As a family we are trying to raise funds for this or any other potentially life prolonging treatment and funds towards Jason’s future care such as, adaptations within the home or mobility aids.
