We’re raising £3,500 for Jax and his family ❤️

This is for an incredibly important cause, close to all our hearts – for Brett, Naomi, and their 15-year-old son Jax, who is currently in hospital receiving dialysis.

It all started with a routine visit to the optician, where Jax was found to have bleeding behind his eyes and now they have found out sadly his kidneys have failed .

Jax has now had a dialysis tube fitted and has just begun the long process of getting used to his treatment and managing his health. His biggest wish – and ours – is to get him home as soon as possible, to be with his family where he belongs.

To make home dialysis safe, comfortable, and possible, we need to adapt his room: he needs an adjustable bed to support his treatment, plus specialist trolleys and storage to hold all the essential medical equipment he’ll rely on every day.

On top of the medical worry, the family is facing huge extra costs. Jax is being cared for at a specialist unit in Southampton – every round trip costs around £80, and both parents have had to take time off work, meaning lost earnings, just so they can be by his side when he needs them most. There are younger siblings at home too, and the strain on everyone is heavy.

As yet, there’s no news on a potential kidney donor, so we know this will be a long, tough journey ahead. But being home, surrounded by his loved ones, will make every part of it easier for Jax – and that’s what we’re fighting for.

We’re running a raffle to raise funds, but we also wanted to give everyone who knows and loves this family the chance to donate directly, if you can. Every single penny counts and will go straight towards adapting Jax’s room, covering travel costs, and supporting the family through this uncertain time.
