I am raising money to take part in a 3-week, World Challenge expedition to Peru in July 2019. A team of us will work with World Challenge representatives prior to our expedition to undertake training treks in preparation for our journey. The team involvement will continue during the expedition when we will take responsibility for leading team members, arranging all transportation and accommodation, we will be managing our budget, testing our bartering skills and liasing with local guides. In Peru, we will undertake a volunteer project which will benefit a local community, I will learn and demonstrate many transferable life skills. Projects may include, conservation, construction or renovation work in a local community.

Over the next few months, I have the task of raising money to cover my costs. I am planning on doing this via a number of avenues, including selling snacks at a local cinema club, running a stall at a local festival and doing odd jobs such as car washing, baby sitting etc.. And hopefully getting sponsorship from a few supportive local businesses. All funds raised will fund my travel costs and go towards my group project in Peru.
