In September a team from Net Church are travelling to Ethiopia to visit the children we sponsor. As a church we sponsor over 200 children but we are not stopping there! Each trip is to not only visit these precious children and their families but also to ensure that more children are sponsored upon our return - where we can update on the projects, the children in them and bring profiles of many more children in desperate need of help. Our heart is to see as many children taken out of the cycle of poverty forever. That is what the charity Compassion does....taking children and their families out of the cycle and giving them a chance at life...the chance to have good health, a roof over their heads, good education and the chance to dream! I cannot put in words the poverty I have seen but grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference even if just a small one.

I am raising money to get myself to Ethiopia but also to get as many children as possible on the fun day that we run out there. This is a day when the children and their workers get to have an incredible day of fun and food at a theme park - something they would never have the opportunity to do. If I could describe the joy on their faces going on the rides or blowing bubbles.....it is out of this world.

For those of you that know me I don't like to be sweaty or muddy! So as a challenge to myself and to make your giving even more worthwhile I, along with several others, have entered a Tough Mudder race on March 24th. I can't get to the top of my stairs without needing my inhaler (well maybe that is a slight exaggeration but you get the gist) and so Tough Mudder is going to be TOUGH (!) I am currently in training for this venture and would appreciate any support that you can give. I will post photos - and again for those of you that know me - posting a photo of me grubby and sweaty is not something I easily do! If nothing it will make you chuckle!
