    Story

Hi, my name is Jayden and I have been in scouting since I was 6 (beavers). I am now in Scouts and will be joined explorers in September.

I am excited to have been selected by Yorkshire Scouts to be a part of the UK contingent for the 24th World Scout Jamboree. I’m working towards raising £3,800 to attend the Jamboree in 2019 which will be held in North America.

Jointly hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, Scouts of Canada and the Scout Association of Mexico, the Jamboree will take place from the 22nd July to the 2nd August 2019 at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, USA. This event only happens once every four years and you only get one opportunity to join as a participant!

I will be working to raise £3,800 over the next 15 months. The fee will contribute to my attendance at the event but also contributes to Scouts from other less fortunate countries allowing them to attend, supporting the aim of the Jamboree ‘Unlock a New World’.

I am currently planning fundraising activities – table top sales, car-washing, bag packing, cake sales and looking for challenges to complete in 2018 – please keep checking back for updates and feel free to send me your ideas!

The World Scout Jamboree is a life-changing adventure that I am very lucky and proud to have been selected to take part in. I will have the opportunity to meet other young people (14-17yrs.) from countries all across the world, experience their cultures first hand, share languages and life experience, and also, give something back to the community project that we will be helping in North America.

All donations gratefully received - thank you for your support (if you'd rather donate offline please do get in touch!)
