Story

Jayden is an 11 year old, fun loving, bright, happy child who has dyplegic cerebral palsy. This condition mainly affects his legs and as a result he is unable to stand or walk unaided. Jayden currently attends a mainstream primary school and uses a walker to help him move around the school. Jayden is due to go to Secondary School in September, however the school and his Physiotherapist have advised that Jayden will be unable to cope with the amount of walking required and therefore this will impact massively on his ability to learn and his mental well-being. The NHS have confirmed that Jayden will need an electric chair to use at school when his legs tire but say he is not eligible for a chair through the NHS as he is able to take a few steps in his walker. Jayden faces new challanges everyday but does so with determination and a smile on his face. He has to deal with so much on a daily basis - this chair will make his life that little bit easier. Jayden just wants to be like his friends and be able to attend his local Seconday School.

this is Jayden rocking world book day as Bert from Mary Poppins in his own chimney !
