Hi Everyone! You all know how much I love my job and how much helping people means to me so I'm here to ask for your help! The current state of affairs is very worrying and unsettling for most of us, however it's even harder for the vulnerable. Working out where your next meal will come from when self-isolating and navigating social distancing when you rely on shared communal facilities is a real worry for the people we support. So, I have started a fundraiser! I would like to raise £100 for the YMCA to buy non perishable food items and toiletries to make resident care packages. I also intend to cook a bulk meal for a our current Nottingham Hostel residents and deliver it to them personally. Any help you can offer even if it's just £1 goes a long long way! We are also in need of games, books, puzzles and activities for our residents who are aged 18-75 to keep them busy during lock-down and self isolation. If anyone near me has anything they can donate (whilst following social distancing guidelines) please contact me.
