Story

In 1997 People with Learning Difficulties set up Wild Bunch Club, with the help of local charity The Elfrida Society www.elfrida.com

Wild Bunch Club promotes itself as: A club for everyone, run by People with Learning Difficulties www.wildbunchclub.com

In the last 20 years, Wild Bunch Club has sold over 25,000 tickets and run 6 night clubs a year, every year.

All the DJs & MCs & performers have a Learning Difficulty, and WBC gives them the opportunity to show off their skills, entertain the 200+ clubbers who attend, and build a self-supporting community of people who are less socially isolated and 'look out for each other.'

In 2014 WBC won 'outstanding contribution to Islington life.' In the same year WBC set up Junior Wild Bunch Club for young disabled people aged 11 - 19.

But in an increasingly difficult funding climate, Wild Bunch Club needs to raise more money to survive.

That's where you come in! Please sponsor one of our top DJs - DJ Patience aka Nikki Carter and her supporters Jayne Carter & Phil Appleby as they participate in a 10k run. The event is Parallel London 2017, the world's first accessible mass participation event which will take place at the Olympic Park on Sunday 3rd September.

All the money raised will go towards our 20th Anniversary Celebration in December 2017. With your help - we aim to make this Wild Bunch Club Night our biggest and best yet.

But what is a Wild bunch Club like and why is it important? In this short 4 minute film Wild Bunch Club DJs & MCs explain why it matters, please watch it and we hope it will inspire you to contribute and keep WBC going: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkjbVAQA3co
