Story

My best friend Jayne needs a foldable mobility scooter and walking sticks to replace those stolen Thursday 2nd November when her blue-badged car containing them was stolen from directly outside her home in a small quiet town of Brough, Yorkshire. Please don't let this low-life thief steal her freedom as well!

Her scooter and sticks are vital to give her any quality of life and without them she is rendered completely housebound as she is unable to walk more than 5m. She does not have the funds to replace them. Her car insurance will cover the costs of the stolen car, so we are not asking for donations towards another vehicle, but her insurance has stated that they only covers her scooter and sticks as "contents of car" to a max of £300, so I want to help her by crowdfunding for the financial difference above that £300 to replace those items. Walking sticks are £50 and the foldable scooter was around £1500.

Let's all help get Jayne her foldable scooter and give her back her independence and spirit!

Jayne is a wonderful person, whom I have known for 10+ years. She has always had her independence by working hard in a range of jobs until a huge wide range of illnesses have struck her in her mid-40s making her unable to work and becoming reliant on her car/scooter and carers. She is a proud lady who has raised her two daughters into beautiful young ladies on her own and whilst combating several life-changing illnesses. Any one of these illnesses normally fell a person, but not Jayne. She keeps going! Although now, she is unable to do a thing due to the actions of a thief stealing her lifeline of her car and scooter.

Apologies to Jayne if I have any of these incorrect - or indeed missed any ... she has ischemic heart disease, fibromyalgia, arthritis (yes from mid-40s), no discs in her lower back, peripheral neuropathy, and autonomic neuropathy.

The donations will go directly to Jayne, and she will be able to use them to buy a replacement foldable scooter if we can all reach the target.
