Story
In November, Jo Griffiths and Jayne Slater visited and taught in New Hope school Cambodia as volunteers. This school is a charity teaching mainly English to children aged 5-16 from extremely poor families. The aim is to enable them to speak English competently enough to access well paid jobs in the local area. and so help them to break out of the poverty cycle. The school is well named as it offers hope for the future, where otherwise there would be none.
Whilst teaching there, we realised that the children had very little life experience outside their own villages. We know that their learning of English would be greatly enhanced if the teachers could use projectors to access the internet as a class teaching aid. We would like to raise enough money to buy at least two projectors in the first instance.
Please donate what you can to create a better future for these delightful children who have so little and yet aspire to so much.
