Story
In 2014 there was 356,860 newly diagnosed cancer patients, this number has grown each year.
Jayne Flavell and her family recently suffered a loss of their son Bill due to cancer. During Bill's time in hospital Jayne and her family had to take time off work, travel a lot and spend nights in hotels just so they could spend the last moments of Bill's life by his side.
The costs of this are huge - Time off work, the travel cost (trains, cabs, parking etc) & accommodation cost. There is little assistance available to families in their time of need meaning the financial strain can be huge - Loss of jobs, cars and even houses.
Jayne's charity has been created to help families with this cost, so they can spend the much needed time with their loved ones when needed without the worry of where the money will come from.
Can you imagine having a loved one terminally ill in hospital and you physically couldn't afford to be by their side? In most cases those who are ill will be transferred to a specialist hospital which more often than not is not local to where the families live. Jayne is looking to eliminate this worry many families go through using her first hand experience.
Please help us raise the funds required to assist those who really need it.
