Story
In 2015, I visited Bulgaria on a missions trip with my church, Alderholt Chapel, to work within a summer camp run by Hope Restored Bulgaria. Every year, thousands of children travel across Bulgaria to attend the camps, learn about everyday life skills, hygiene, take part in fun games and activities like swimming and football. The charity focus heavily on trying to reach the more rural Roma villages where human trafficking is very common and girls in these villages are more likely to enter into prostitution. The summer camps aim to educate children about this and in turn, reduce child abuse and sex exploitation by 50%. Without these camps, many of these children cannot learn the basic needs to survive in their villages.

This year, I am hoping to do the same and try and make even more of a difference to these children now knowing what to expect. Unfortunately this year, I can't afford to go for a number of reasons. I'm currently completing my last year of uni, and having had a number of recent car issues, my money seems to have all gone on that and buying petrol to get to uni! In terms of fundraising, I have a few ideas in place - clothes swaps, cake sales, car washes, table-top sales.

If you choose to donate anything at all (even 50p is gratefully received!), then here's what your money will be going on:
- Hope Restored Bulgaria camp fees ($350 - around £250)
- Flights (around £300)
- Mid-travel stay in Sofia x 2 (£50)
Overall, I'm looking to raise as much as possible. If you would like to donate anything, please please do but if not (also totally fine), please keep a look out for my fundraising events, like, share and just spread the word! These children are honestly the loveliest, friendliest and most grateful I have ever met, and I can't wait to get back there.
