I've raised £100 to Ensure that no girl in the Mablethorpe & Alford area has to miss school because they have been unable to access adequate sanitary protection

Red Box Project Mablethorpe and Alford, Lincolnshire.
You may have seen news reports that tell us disadvantaged girls in Britain are missing school because they have started their period and are finding it hard to obtain sanitary products.
We’ve decided to do something about this! We’ve signed up as a Coordinator for The Red Box Project, a charitable community group based in Portsmouth but with branches all over the UK.
On behalf of the Project, we will be managing a red box filled with free sanitary products which will be kept in local schools. We’ll liaise the schools and with keep the box fully stocked.
The key feature of the scheme is that young women who lack easy access to sanitary items are given as many as they need to see them through their period - not just one or two. Also, it has been designed to be sustainable, providing a reliable supply month after month after month.
Who supplies the contents of the Red Box? An informal community of women, each of whom regularly contributes a little something towards it.
Would you consider joining us in The Red Box Project in Mablethorpe and Alford as one of our community of women? Your commitment would be to donate one pack of suitable pads every month plus some appropriate girls’ pants twice a year. If you can't commit to a monthly donation then a small donation to fund us purchasing what we need to get set up would be great.
We have set up a Facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/redboxmablethorpeandalford/
for us to help manage our box so we can liaise with you, our lovely supporters. Then you can drop off your donation to us and we will deliver them all to the schools as needed. We will be organising Community Drop-Off points soon and will post below when we have these sorted.
We hope you will sign up and work with us. It just seems ridiculous for this to be happening on our own doorstep. If lots of us pull together and each gives a little on a regular basis, we can quietly and firmly put an end to this problem: woman to young woman.
We will need to buy things like the Red boxes for the schools and also donation points, paper bags that girls can put their supplies in to be discreet. Paper and ink for printing out information leaflets and posters etc.
