This is Kevin, my car which I have owned since 2004 and (I know some will think saying this is daft) a much loved member of our family.

He's done 45k miles, as you can see in the picture his bodywork is good, but he had a coolant leak, which was diagnosed as a blown head gasket by LG Vehicle repairs in Sutton in Ashfield in August 2016.

They have had my car since 19th August, a whole catalogue of excuses have punctuated the past 2 months, but to cut a very long story short, we have paid £900 for the head gasket repairs, MOT and a replacement part for the suspension that was needed for the MOT.

Kevin is very broken. I have been told by the owner of LG Vehicle repairs (Leon Goncearenko) today that Kevin now needs a new engine as his engine block has a heat fracture. He wants me to pay for a new engine.

I don't have the money for a new engine plus fitting. Online quotes for this are in the region of £2000. I obviously don't want this garage to work on my car again.

Any messages offering legal advice would also be most welcome.

I don't want anyone to donate me a car, I just want our Kevin back working please.
