I've raised £5000 to raise much needed funds to secure the long term future of Jedburgh Golf Club

Jedburgh Golf Club are looking to generate funds to help them through the current Coronavirus pandemic. These funds will help secure the long term future of the club.
The golf club has been an integral part of our town of Jedburgh since 1892. It is a community club which has been a key part of sporting activity and socialising throughout the years, and is a great place for family & friends alike to enjoy some time together.
The committee over the past few years have continually worked tirelessly to successfully run the club to a high standard on a shoestring budget. However, this budget massively relies on 3 things - membership income, fundraising activities and visitor income. Understandably, during these uncertain times, some members have not yet fully paid their membership fees due to financial uncertainty. With the current isolation guidelines we cannot hold any group fundraising activities and also no visitors can play our course, resulting in a huge loss of income to the club.
Thankfully, the Government guidelines allow our greenkeepers to continue working, and they are currently doing a great job in ensuring that the course is in great condition for the day we get to return to play the game we all enjoy. However, at this time of year especially, we need to spend money on seeds, fertilisers and machinery upkeep to get the course in a condition to ensure that we have a course we can be proud of and one that will hell us attract visitors.
We are hoping to raise money to help us to do this through the generosity of our local community, who understand the key role the golf club plays in the town every year.
We know that life itself, and the current situation we all find ourselves in is far more important and serious than a game of golf, but it has gave us an insight in to what life would be like without the club. It really would be a huge loss to the community and leave a big hole in the town. The club extends beyond golfers, with our kitchen ran so wonderfully by Naomi open to everybody, and views as good as anywhere over the Dunion and Cheviot hills. It is a very popular spot for families, walkers and cyclists from the town and further afield to stop for refreshments.
The golf club is not receiving and funding from the Government to assist us during this time. We understand that not everyone is in a financial position to be able to do so, and we do not want to make anyone financially unstable, but we are asking, if you can, to make any donation, small or large, it would be massively appreciated during this time.
We at Jedburgh Golf Club thank you in advance for your kind community spirit, and we hope to be able to welcome you all to the club in years to come.
We hope that we will be through the worst of this pandemic sooner rather than later and we can all return to some form of normality.
In the meantime, please stay home and stay safe.
