Story

I‘m delighted to have completed the Nidderdale Walk with a team of eight from Zero Carbon Harrogate. A great challenge in beautiful scenery and accompanied by other volunteers who want see a sustainable future. We had some interesting conversations along the way which helped the miles tick by.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me. Your sponsorship means a lot.

On Sunday 18th May, a team of us from Zero Carbon Harrogate (ZCH) will be taking part in the Nidderdale Charity Walk & Run, covering miles of stunning Yorkshire countryside to raise vital funds for our work tackling climate change locally.

Why It Matters

Climate change is no longer a distant threat – we are seeing its effects right here in Harrogate, from erratic weather to rising energy costs. One of the biggest contributors to our local carbon footprint is home energy use, and many residents want to make their homes more energy efficient but don’t know where to start. That is where ZCH comes in.

How Your Support Helps

Funds raised from this walk will help ZCH continue its work supporting local people and businesses to cut carbon emissions and build a greener community. From home retrofitting advice to practical workshops and awareness campaigns, we are taking action to create real, lasting change.

Join Me on the Journey

Your donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Please support me and our team as we take on this challenge – together, we can build a more sustainable future for Harrogate.
